Album
The album 1000 orð is a collaborative project by Birnir and Icelandic pop icon Bríet. Coming together for an experimental electronic pop album filled with romance, conflict, heartbreak and hope. The album was produced in Iceland.
Short film
The short film 1000 orð, follows a couple on an abandoned space station trying to erase the memories of one another. While doing this, we see glimpses of a stormy relationship. Its a visual exploration of the sounds of the album.
Bushido
Album
Bushido is Birnirs second album. Released in 2021, it received two Icelandic music awards for best rap album and best rap song. Following this release Birnir became one of Icelands most recognized and respected rap musicians.
Art direction
The exceptional visual direction for Bushido, by art director Þórsteinn Sigurðsson became widely known. Using medical cameras and MRI scanners for the visual world, Birnir brought depth to the sonic experience, creating one of the most memorable album covers of recent years.
Matador
Album
Before releasing his debut album Matador, Birnir had released two #1 singles such as Já ég veit and Út í geim. Matador was Birnirs entrance to the scene. Considered by many to be a classic, songs of this album are still being played at Birnirs live shows.
